Scott DeSanders

Pastor and valiant leader of our motley group by day and a wanna be pirate by night! Scott is constantly surrounded by our students... why? Because he loves them! Not to mention creating relationships with them and helping them to draw nearer to the Lord is his passion. Want to see Scott in action? Drop by any of our Sunday morning services, mid week bible studies or exciting events and you'll know right away you want to be part of this group!

Lori Tennyson

Mom and "detail keeper" of TBC youth ministry by day....avid KC Chiefs fan by night!  Lori has been working for several years now as our administrative assistant. She does a fantastic job at making sure we get info out to you all, she keeps us on track and she loves hanging with the kids and talking with them about the Lord.

High School Leaders

We have a phenomenal group of student ministry volunteer leaders who have dedicated themselves to the growth and well being of your student.  They pray for your student and spend time with them and develop a relationship with them in hopes that they can encourage them to grow and mature in their walk with the Lord.

Jason Gossard

Insurance salesman by day... snow boarding king by night!  Jason loves the action and he loves to push the edge of the envelope.  We are thankful for the time he invests with our guys on Sunday mornings and keeping up with them throughout the week.

Melissa Gossard

School counselor by day...newest member of the TBC synchonized swimming team by night!  Melissa is great at throwing together awesome girls nights for our Sr. High ladies filled with snacks, movies and lots of chat time!

Christy Spena

Interior decorator by day...."adventure woman" by night!  She'll try anything and probably already has!  Whether she's bombing down the ski slopes or shoveling dirt in Guatemala this girl is a ball of energy.  Christy is the longest standing member of the family....she's been helping out with the youth for over 10 years now!!

Jostens employee by day and secret dessert chef by night! A little birdie tells us that second only to hanging out with the youth group students, Adam's favorite thing to do is bake cupcakes!!! Adam is a recent addition to our high school leaders and his encouraging pats on the back and friendly smile can draw any student out of their shell.

Karly McGurk

Washburn University student by day... crazy go cart driver by night... Karly is a recent addition to the Sr. High scene. She is an amazing role model for the students and we can't remember what the Student Ministry was like before she arrived with her big smile and even bigger hugs!

Erika Toomey

Erika and her husband Clay are new additions to the Sr. High Ministry. Erika works for a Hispanic Ministry here in town during the week and on the weekends she spends time pouring into a small group of 11th and 12th grade ladies.

Clay Toomey

Clay is a fairly new face around the Underground but we are very thankful for him and his wife Erika. Clay works as a food sales rep. during the week but on Sundays you can find him hanging with our 10th & 11th grade guys.

Brandon Bills

Brandon is also a newer addition to the ministry. He loves hanging out with both the Jr. & Sr. High, but on Sundays it's the freshmen guys who are lucky enough to get to be in his small group!

Brooks Swift

During the week Brooks works as a real estate agent and dresses to the nines to impress all those potential home buyers. When he's not day dreaming of being Donald Trump, Brooks spends time having loads of fun with our 12th grade guys.
